Re: Painful ovarian cysts

I've had surgery for one cyst, and three others that did not require surgery. Birth control pills do not make cysts go away. Only time or surgery can do that. There is a 1980's controlled study at the University of Alabama of Birmingham hospital that proves that birth control pills do not cause cyst to go away any faster than waiting it out.

Also, in some women (including me) birth control pills don't prevent cysts from forming. I've just accepted that I can get cysts at any time.
