Menstrual Cup

One doctor has responded to a previous question about "the keeper" menstrual cup, however, I am curious to hear other responses. I have noticed a cramping increase while using tampons, and am wondering if it is not due to unnatural fibers or chlorine. This non-latex rubber device seems an economical, eco-friendly solution, but I don't trust everything I read! As an RN's daughter, I can say that I would not want to leave any such device in the vagina for 12 hours. Are there any other opinions concerning the use of this device for 4-8 hours at a time; the same length one would use tampons? Are there any recommended hospital-grade (or even close to it) cleansers which would be effective for this material? I appreciate any response, as I am on the verge of ordering one, but do not want to endanger my sexual health.

Thanks, Alicia

p.s. - The website for the device is http://www.keeper.com
