But now that you've had sex, it's time for a gynecological exam. That will give you more answers about your bleeding than you can get over the Internet, and you can also get information about birth control, disease prevention, and the emergency contraceptive pill (which can be used up to 72 hours after intercourse to reduce your risk of pregnancy. Call 1-888-Not2Late for the provider nearest you). You can get a Pap smear,and be tested for sexually transmissible infections. Write again if you have further questions.
