Bladder tumors

After many months of continued hematuria after a UTI infection had successfully cleared on antibiotics I was given a referral to a urologist. On cystoscopy I was found to have a very small bladder tumor. I had a tomographic IVP yesterday and will have surgery next week to remove the tumor. I am 48 years old. My questions are: 1) After many hours of searching the Internet I have been unable to find any information regarding BENIGN bladder tumors. All information that I find suggests that if a bladder tumor is found it is surely malignant. Is this true? Are there such things as benign bladder tumors? 2) I also, through research, have discovered that about 80% of these tumors recur even if they are only the superficial noninvasive type, and in a more aggressive form. Is this true? As you may well suspect, I am extremely nervous and anxious about this information. Could you please give me any information regarding benign tumors of the bladder and recurrence rate of malignant bladder tumors. Thank you very much for your help.
