The first day of your menstruation is considered the first day of the cycle. Where in your cycle that you ovulate depends on the length of the cycle and the length of your luteal phase. For instance, if you have a 28 day cycle and a luteal phase of 12 days, your ovulation occurs somewhere around the vicinity of day 16. If I may, here is the address of a webpage that will give you more information about understanding your menstrual cycle and finding the days of maximum fertility: http://www.woomb.org Take care!
