Sarah,

I'm not a doctor, but from my own experience I can tell you that the best way to see if you have a bicornuate uterus or a septate uterus is by doing an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) and a hysteroscopy. The last option is the surest way. I had an HSG and they still suspected I had a bicornuate uterus. Only after the hysteroscopy was done, it was really clear that it was a septate uterus.

The septum has been removed by hysteroscopic surgery (combined with laparoscopy) and seven months later I was pregnant!

Hope this helps!
