Re: Tubal Ligation.......

Dr is advising a tubal so he can treat you for this? Wow! That's a new one. Why? May I ask? Did you question as to why this was his opinion? I am just an ordinary woman. I had a tubal almost six years ago. Had I known then what I know now, I never would have done it. I would advise you to question your dr as to what risks are associated with a tubal ligation. Regardless of what anyone here or anywhere else says, tubal ligations are NOT a good idea for women. The benefits do NOT outweigh the risks in this situation. There is such a thing as Post-Tubal Ligation Syndrome. This is the premature onset of peri-menopause and menopause as a result of TL. The experts here probably do not agree with me on this, in fact, I can pretty much bet that they don't. That is their right, but it is also my right to tell others considering TL my story. I am 32, and have been told by the dr that did the tubal that I am peri-menopausal. My periods were pretty much regular pre-tubal. If they didn't come, I was pregnant. Now, post-tubal, at 32, I am peri-menopausal. WHY? Because of the tubal I had. Email me at msr84@yahoo.com if you want to know more. I hope this post is not removed as our posts here sometimes are. Ask your dr what the risks associated with a TL are before you consent to it. Ask him about PTS. Good Luck in your decision!!
