My mother (age 66) was just diagnosed with stage 1 cancer of the breast (2 lump, under 1cm. in size). She had a hysterectomy for uterine cancer at age 54. I had a hysterectomy 1 1/2 years ago (TAH, BSO) for severe stage 4 endo. I was put on .625 Premarin about 9 months after the surgery. I seem to be doing ok on the premarin, however, due to the fact that mom now has breast cancer, should I stop taking HRT? If I have to stop it what else can I use for the hot flashes, vaginal dryness and help for bones?? Will I be at a greater increase to get breast cancer if I stay on the Premarin?? Thanks!
