Dear Angela,

What a kind, caring message to Chris.

I too had Chem 3 years ago for Breast Cancer and the leg pains and twiches that you have both mentioned bring back memories that I had forgotten about.

For Several Months after I was through having Chemo my legs ached, felt heavy, and at times felt like they would not or could not relax. I'm not talking mild to mid mild I'm talking heavy duty aching....... Enough to keep me from being able to relax and go to sleep. It Hurt......

But the good news is it Stops!!!!

There is a lot of truth to that statement but there is also more I would like to add.

Believe it or Not, you do wake up one morning and say to yourself, "I went to sleep last night and I Didn't think about it!" It takes time and this is part of the healing. The fear begins to take a back-seat and the plain fact that we are Here, Alive, and the sun is shinning begins to slowly move into our minds and we do find a way to "forget" the horror of it all and truly regain our life again.

We never Forget, we just replace the terrible memories with happy, hopeful, just plain glad to be alive types of thoughts.

We are Never the same again, but I for one like to think I'm Better, for it.

Hugs to both of you.
