There is not any more risk of you getting pregnant in this circumstance than any other, as long as you take your pills on time. All combination oral contraceptive tablets are equally effective in preventing pregnancy, but the side effects,like bleeding, can vary widely. Your body cannot "ignore" hormones. Your body's reaction to hormones from outside can change over time, but pregnancy is not likely.
