Reply: Barb: "Re: Endometrial Ablation -- Success Question." How much time does one need to give after the surgery to find out if the ThermaChoice Uterine Balloon Therapy procedure was a success? My definition of success at the low end would be a 50% reduction of volume and number of days. The procedure was performed on 2/18/99. My doctor told me to give it a few months to be sure, and also that the first or second periods may be heavy. If anyone has had experience as a patient or as a doctor I'd appreciate any feedback.
