Abnormal Uterine BleedingFrom: Carol (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 15 Mar 1999 13:14:41 -0600 (CST)
I have been having abnormal heavy, heavy, clotting periods for 8 years. I have seen 5 different doctors who have said I have fibroids and cysts (these from external ultrasounds.) Once I even had a biopsy, no cancer. I have found a new doctor 1 year ago, after doing an internal ultrasound, he says my uterus is the size of a 3 mo. pregnancy, lumpy and disfunctional but no fibroids or cysts (weriod). For all these past 8 years I have suffered through periods lasting 15 days every month, and now it hasn't stopped since January 17th. In addition, I have been on the pill for the last 10 months...obviously it has not helped. NOW, I am looking forward to my hysterectomy scheduled the first week of April.. I'm sick, sick, sick of bleeding all the time!!! However, after reading horror story after horror story over the internet about post-op side affects I am concerned. So my questions is: What is all this talk about bladder problems, tacking bladder, trama of the bladder and bowels. I just want my uterus gone what does this have to do with my bladder and bowels??? Thanks for your responses Carol
