Mircette and side effects resembling pregnancyFrom: Barbara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 2 Mar 1999 01:41:48 -0600 (CST)
I was prescribed Mircette three months ago after doctor discovered that I had endometriosis. I have taken it faithfully, but in the last 2 months I have noticed signs of pregnancy. I have very tender breasts and they have also became slightly enlarged, fatigue, nausea ( to certian foods and mostly occurring in the morning). My last period only lasted 3 days and was very spotty, not to mention it came much later in the pill cycle than the first two periods on the pill. Could there be a chance that I could be pregnant or is this just side effects from the pill. I was prescribed this pill because of hormonal migraines I experienced with other birth control pills. Also I am on other medications for various problems, but my pharmacist side they should not affect the effectiveness of the pill. (previcids, claritons, and bactrim at night for chronice bladder infections). I just need to know if you should stop the pill and see a doctor in case I may be pregnant. Your input would be much appreciated. Thank you. (sorry so lengthy)
