I just read your message. I know it was posted a while ago but it was of interest to me. I had a total abd. hysterectomy in October with my ovaries removed and bladder repair. I developed a kidney infection shortly after surgery and then 2 weeks later got a blood infection that nearly killed me. The incision opened up a week after surgery. I was on IV antibiotics for over 5 weeks. Because of the massive infection, my blood count dropped to extremely low levels and I was transfused with 6 pints of blood in December. I am finally doing a bit better but the incision is still not completely healed and I do have a lot of pelvic pain and recurrent bladder infections. I would be interested in communicating with you via e-mail or chat room sometime if you are interested. I hope you are doing better.
