Second opinion - possibility of Grade 1 adenocarcinomaFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 25 Feb 1999 20:23:13 -0600 (CST)
Brief recap of earlier post: 34 year old endometrial hyperplasia w/sever architectural & cyologic atypia, came back after being treated a year ago w/3 months of megace My Dr. got a second opinion, he sent it to a Dr. in Boston at Mass General Hospital. Their diagnosis was severe atypia, which they felt could be a cancer, a grade 1 adenocarcinoma - basically that it was borderline. Is that possible, a borderline cancer ? Anyway, we are going to continue w/the megace for 3 months followed by a D&C. If it's all gone my Dr. is saying I should pursue IVF asap before they have to take out my uterus. Is it possible that this condition could have spread out of the uterus already ? Is there any other tests they should do ? Thanks, Julie
