Provera didnt start my period! Why????? Why?????" Maybe reply: anonymous@obgyn.net: "Re: Provera didnt start my period! Why?????" I was given Provera 5mg bid for 5 days. It is now 12 days since I last took it and no REAL period. I have had some light red on the pad and a few brown streaks on the paper, but no real period. The last time I took Provera, I had a super heavy, and long period. Now I am worried cause even drugs wont start my period. I called into the Dr's office, and the nurse said that the Doc will probably give me another course of Provera but she will have to talk to him first and call me back. What could be the possible reasons that Provera didnt work?? Could there be something seriously wrong with me? I am scared that I will not be able to have any more children!
