****** YES!

Second, you joined the forum after I last posted on my own medical case, and I would be grateful for your opinion. I am 36, and had a supracervical hysterectomy (for fibroids and associated heavy bleeding) last September. Since then, I have a 2 day "miniperiod" every month, right on schedule. This is little more than a discolored discharge, very little in volume, and of a type/texture which was typical of my "first day" back pre-op (it was only after the 1st day that things got awful). Previous posts and my GYN have suggested that this is an occasional aftereffect of keeping the cervix and some small associated responding tissue. Does this match with your experience?

******* No! In thirty-five years of GYN I never left a cervix. I can understand why the surgeon might have to leave on in place. ******* My guess would be that there is some responsive tissue high in the cervical canal. This could be treated with Elektra cautery or laser to destroy this tissue -- or -- you could leave it alone and get your PAP and Checkups regularly.

Thank you, Dr. George

I wish all posts were so clear and presented in such a nice way.
