Thanks to both of you for your reassurance and explanation of US dating limitations.

On a side note, the technician did one thing that hadn't happened during the ultrasounds in my last pregnancy. As usual, I was required to have a full bladder when I arrived. She spent about 5-10 minutes taking the shots she needed to take with a full bladder, and then allowed me to use the restroom before continuing the exam instead of making me wait until the exam was over like the other times I have had an US. This only took an additional minute or two, but made the exam much more pleasant and comfortable for me. It took a few extra minutes for her by the time I went to the bathroom, and she had to re-prep me, but I was so much more comfortable. I thought this was very thoughtful and considerate of her. Is there a reason this isn't standard procedure?

Just food for thought.

Andrea
