Hi to all! I have been on the endo forum, but have never had endo, but I suffer daily from post surgical adhesions! The gyn did 2 laparotomies and 1 laparoscopy last year in a five monthh tin\me span, he was reluctant to operate so soon, but I forced the issue in sept. He found the tranverse colon, the one above the navel stuck to the pelvic floor and it was smothering the small bowel. he lysed adheisons off and freed it all up but I was back in pain a week or so later , and I did not even tell him for 2 months, I felt bad cause this dr had tried SO hard to help me! He was worried about the condition of the bowel, but now all the drs sat to stay away from surgery for awhile, I did ask gyn if he would consider a lap if the oain oersists, and he siad yes, I have severe constipation, and sometimes laxatives do not work. I am trying for pain mamagement cause the gyn referred me til he can do anymore surgery, but the referral letter went out dec 18th, and I have been there once they have tried elavil and pamelor, for pain, and they pamelor sent me to ER woth heart rate of 133, and I was almost impaced, I had no BM for 6 days, and they said they could see there was alot of stool on exray, but no obstruction! I am TIRED of this, they gun refuses to treat with narcotics, and there is some relief when they give me them, the anti depressants are VERY constipating and I do not need this! Where do you go when all your drs are at wits end(especially gyn, who I would not change for NOTHING)! He does not know what to do!! I do go back to PM clinic next week FINALLY!!! They got the letter from ins. If you gyn and pcp are frustrated with the situation, what about the patient, how doe he think I feel? When I went to ER I asked them not to call gyn it was 2 in the morning, he told ER dr I have been like that, all he can do for now is control the pain, and I have not heard from him since, he is depending on pain clinic and that is taking months! LOST!
