Chronic pelvic pain but no abnormalitiesFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 Feb 1999 11:59:38 -0600 (CST)
Smile, it will brighten your day! I've had this pain for 3-4 yrs. I have a 26 day cycle and the pain is always on days 9-11. I had a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis or anything else. My insides were in perfect condition. I was treated for PID, I've had smears, cultures, and cbc's everything is always normal. My M.D. admits she is at a loss. I've tried bcp's and the norplant to allieviate the pain. The only thing that comes close to cutting the pain is 800mg Motrin q3h and that just eases it enough to move around. It always starts in my right lower pelvic area then moves to my entire pelvic area but the pain is always worse on my right side. then after 2-3 days it is gone. My menses is very heavy and a lot of big clots, and the worse my pain is that month then the worse my period will be. What could this possibly be. My M.D. said Hysterectomy may be the only solution but I'm only 27. Does anyone have any info. on this? Thank You in advance for your input.
