P.S. re: Gambling on menopause

It was perhaps misleading to say I have no other health problems. I do have bouts of abdominal discomfort and digestive upset, and was diagnosed with IBS by a gastroenterologist in '93. For some years now I've been unable to wear anything around my waist except elastic or very loose jeans. My gynecologist isn't just recommending TAH/BSO to make me easier to manage re: cancer surveillance, as I think some docs may do. He believes the IBS is related to the fibroids/endo, which I don't dispute, especially since it's most likely to act up around the time of menstruation. (I just tend to think the "cure" may be worse than the disease, and that's why the issue of possible relief after menopause is so pivotal.)

Thanks for noting this clarification.
