Unfortunately laser treatment, or any other kind of treatment, does not 'get rid' of the HPV you are now carrying. It is ALWAYS THERE>

The treatments merely take away the lesions that one can see. The virus remains.

If one is armed with this information I would guess they might be motivated to abstain or at a minimum have 'safe sex'. (If there is such a thing)

HPV and Herpes, once they arrive at your bottom, ALWAYS stay there. NO treatment gets rid of them. Even if you can see no lesions the virus is constantly being shed and it is too small to detect. You are always contagious. :-(

I am not sure how often these will manifest themselves after the first visible lesions, but it is of little consequence. The rate of recurrence has to do with several things like 1) The innate immune system of the host. 2) Emotional stress. 3) Physical trauma. 4) Pregnancy 5) etc.

In my experience some ladies have frequent recurrences -- others have rare occurrences.

I think it always fair to tell any new sex partner that you have the problem. Probably 90% of adult males and females carry the Herpes Virus.
