Antigen M-Amy EnglishFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 2 Feb 1999 13:51:14 -0600 (CST)
Dear Amy, I am a UND nursing student and hopefully I will be able to give you some more information about Antigen M. Do you know what your blood type is? You must be Rh negative and are pregnant with a baby who has a Rh positive blood type. How many times have you been pregnant? With the Coombs titer, your ob/gyn is monitoring whether or not your body is making antibodies against your baby. You will also probably recieve a Rhogam shot around 28 weeks to prevent your body from making any more antibodies. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Amy
