AdenomyosisFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Jan 1999 08:59:39 -0600 (CST)
I am a 45 year old white caucasion mother of two teenagers. my message is actually a question. I was dx'd with adeno in October of 98. I had been on Loestrin 1.5 for a couple of years. I experienced chronic pelvic pain and low tail bone area backache. My gyn took me off the pill and said if it wasn't any better a vaginal hysterectomy would be needed. I had an ultrasound and it showed a mildly enlarged uterus. I have had the backaches for approximately 3 years or more. If I am still having pain, although not as severe as when on the pill, and the backache, will I be a good candidate for this hysterectomy based on the given situation? To be honest, I can't take this much longer. I don't know how I've gone this far. I need to urinate more often also. Could I have bladder problems after a hysterectomy is performed? I've been to an urologist and urologically I am said to be fine. Please respond to me as I need a few kind words that I'm not a complaining middle ager!
