Dr. McIntosh,

I appreciate your carefully thought-out response. It is helpful to me to see the components of malpractice identified. It sounds like there can be many occasions where there was a breech of care, but no definitive injury or damages.

What is an appropriate response from a patient who has received inadequate care that does not cross the line of malpractice? Should they simply let the physician know what happened? Would the doctor even care that you think he made a mistake if you are no longer a patient?

Thanks, Andrea
