amenorrheaFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 9 Jan 1999 19:10:36 -0600 (CST)
I am at a loss at what to do next. I have never had a regular period. I usually have about 3 a year. As I got older I started gaining weight, many diets later (without a significant loss) I can not have any periods on my own. I have been on the pill to "regulate" and on progesterone to bring on a bleed. Now even if I take a cycle of provera pills I still do not have a period. I have been to see a gyn and had blood work done. My blood fasting came back high, but my 3 hour was in normal range. Thyroid was normal. Estradiol @ 41, FSH @ 7.7, and LH @ 12.2 My abdominal and vaginal ultrasound came back normal, no polycystic ovaries. I do have high triglycerides(400's)and cholesterol (200's). My gyn has since told me that it must just be normal for me not to have a period. I am 26 years old and I do not think this sounds "fine" I just need some ideas on what I should do next? Thanks
