Re: fibroids/ovary removal ?From: jnich2 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 9 Jan 1999 20:01:33 -0500
I am 46 years old. I had a total hyst. at the age of 29. I have been on estrogen/progesterone implants for 15 years after trying hormones in pill form for the year immediately following the surgery. My doctor retired last month and I cannot find another physician in my area that will do these implants. Without the hormones, I go crazy, the full range of menopause symptoms. If I had it to do over again I would insist that they try something other than a total hyst. I am now on estrotest in pill form. Haven't been taking it long enough yet to know if it is going to work. But if I were you I would explore all my options before I agreed to removal of the ovaries. Hopefully they can find a form of ERT that will work for you if the surgery is necessary. Lot of Luck! -----Original Message----- From: janet <anonymous@obgyn.net> To: Multiple recipients of list <anonymous@obgyn.net> Date: Saturday, January 09, 1999 5:50 PM Subject: Re: fibroids/ovary removal ?
