Re: More HPV questions - ClarificationFrom: Marna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 8 Jan 1999 14:36:24 -0800
I must clarify, they burnt the warts off, not his genitals!!!!!! Forgive my mistake! Marna -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Behalf Of Marna D. E. Gatlin Sent: Friday, January 08, 1999 2:31 PM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: More HPV questions My new husband contracted HPV from his former wife (about 10 years ago) He went through treatment where they actually applied an acid of some sort to his genitals and burnt them off. He hasn't had any lesions since. Granted he isn't married to her anymore either. Now my question, with all this discussion regarding HPV, what are my chances of contracting it? We have been intimate for a few years, and since we are monogamous with one another, both tested negative for other STD's as well as HIV, we chose not to use condoms as we wanted to start a family. Is this something I need to be concerned about? Thanks Marna D. E. Gatlin Doula
