Very true! I initially went in to the doctor for what appeared to be a stubborn yeast infection about two years ago. I found out then it was strep. I've been in a couple times for it since then. It didn't take long for me to realize how true what the doctor said "once you got it, you got it." I tend to let things go on for a while healthwise until I start to get very uncomfortable or go nuts, whichever comes first :)

Why treat if not pregnant?? Cause it can hurt! That's when I'll finally ask for something. I'll itch for months sometimes before it gets just too bad. When or if I have symptoms that severe for the GBS, I'll be happy to acquire all the abx I can get! BTW, the last time I had amoxil for it was last summer. One slight flaw in that perspective is that I've taken antibiotics at least four or five times since then for other things. One of which the antibiotic is current for bronchitis. I've got to move someplace warm.
