tenderness months after tubal surgeryFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Dec 1998 12:09:18 -0600 (CST)
I am wondering if any of the doctors has any insight into why I am experiencing continuing tenderness after tubal surgery in July. I had a tubal reconstruction to remove blockages from both tubes. There was an 8 inch incision along the hair lline. Almost 6 months later I still have tenderness in my lower abdomen (not at the incision sight, but higher up). The incision has healed normally according to my GP (who I've consulted about the tenderness I'm experiencing now- she had no idea). My cycles have been normal since surgery. This is the 5th post-op cycle. I called the surgeon but he said "it will go away" and "forget about it" and he didn't want to see me. I'm concerned about this odd sensation and am wondering if it may be related to not being able to conceive for the last 6 months since the surgery. I hope someone has some ideas. Thanks!
