SEX!!! (now that i have your attention) apprehensive about...after TAHFrom: Becky (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Dec 1998 20:45:21 -0600 (CST)
I am post op TAH/APPENDECTOMY 9 weeks and still havent been able to have intercourse with my husband. I had complications, and am now getting over a UTI that I have had since Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to being close to my husband again, but due to these problems I have had with this surgery, I am really scared. My fear is sex will aggervate my symptoms of UTI and urethra/bladder spasams I have had. I have also had severe vulva itching sporacially and am afraid it will all come back with intercourse. Are there any suggestions for this vulva itching from the doctors out there, or a cause of it (too much estrogen, or not enuf?) I am on 1.25mg. of premarin per day....would appreciate any advice from others or especially from doctors. Also, any suggestions for a lubricant to use with intercourse...this is all so new to me, and my physician isnot the most helpful doctor, I have had so many problems, and he is a surgeron, not a OBGYN and he acts like he is tired of "fooling" with me. Thank you very much.
