uterus-prolapse and stressincontinenceFrom: irene (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 22 Dec 1998 08:05:33 -0600 (CST)
Dear madam, sir,my problem is the following: after childbirths,(as so many women),I experienced a uterus prolaps and incontinence with aerobics and so on.After a thorough investigation at our local hospital, my gynecologist came to the conclusion he could operate in order to perform a bladder-reconstruction, but the uterus needed to go out.(I did a lot of Kegels in the past in order to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, but no avail, hence the surgery) My question is: is there no alternative way to reconstruct and leave the uterus in? I am 48 year old, excellent health (love to run semimarathons) still menstruating reguarly, sincerely yours, Irene
