Every since then I'v had irregular periods- varying between every 12 to 17 days. They have not been able to determine a cause- I've tried all the meds and am fed up. The doctor says she doesn't think the irregular periods (short length, pain, and heavy flow) are from the surgery and yet she offers me no other cause. What gives? Where / How can I research this issue myself? Is it not unusual post salpingo-oophorectomy to have anovulation which could cause irregular periods? What is the connection? I never had this problem prior to surgery. I'd really like to get to the bottom of this- tried to research on Medline with no luck. Did ask for a new doctor, but don't want to depend on him/her to find me the answers.
