failed posterior repair?From: elizabeth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 20 Dec 1998 09:12:31 -0600 (CST)
I'm 33 and this past Summer I had a hysterectomy (ovaries remain), bladder tack, and posterior repair. In order of severity the rectocele was the worse closely followed by the prolapse and the cystocele was the least bothersome. About the time the doc said my husband and I could resume sex I had lost most of my desire. About a month after resuming sex I think the posterior repair is already falling apart. My husband has said that he has noticed a major difference. The last two times we had sex it hurt. I have the same initial symptoms as I did last year at this time when the problem first began. All my muscles seem to have gone soft despite doing a minimum of 50 Kegals per day. I don't have any bulging. Between lack of desire and physical problems I'd just like to quit having sex altogether. My husband , of course, finds this concept abhorrent. I have had enough of doctors and hospitals so are there any home remedies to alter this condition? Additional exersizes? I think magnetic therapy is the biggest crock of quackery to hit the market but I'm just about ready to get ripped-off trying it. Help, please. Thanks.
