There is no conclusive research to prove that birth control pills get
rid of existing cysts. Most doctors (including my own) feel that
nothing but time and surgery can make cysts go away. Birth control
pills do prevent functional cysts in some women. I am not one of them.
Avoiding a lap? Just hope that the cysts go away on their own. I know
that's not a great answer, but it's all medical science has to offer.
