vaginal alignment and endometriosisFrom: Angel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Dec 1998 11:57:47 -0600 (CST)
Hello, I am a 19 year old, female virgin. I am inquiring to know if it was natural for the vagina to tilt to one side, such as 30 to 45* to the right when inserting a tampon. Would this have anything to do with pending endometriosis, especially if an immediate family member has already had it? Symptoms consit of pain once a month on left side (opposite side of tilt) of lower abdomen about 3 to 2 weeks before menstration and vaginal pain continious through menstration for a time of almost a decade. If there is any difficulty on whether this is or isn't endometriosis or not please advise if this is natural or should result in a visit to a gynecology in the near future. Thank you for your time and help if you can
