Re: ovarian cyst

I had laproscopic surgery in April 98 to remove a "grapefruit" sized
cyst. My ovary was not removed. The surgery was a breeze - which was
not what I was expecting. I had three small incisions (size of a pencil
eraser). One was in the belly button, and the other two were below the
bikini line. If these are functional cysts, your doctor should be able
to remove them and keep the ovary. He'll be able to tell what type of
cyst it is when he gets in. My cyst was multi-walled and full of blood.
It was a functional cyst. I experienced the same side effects that you
did from the cyst. You'll feel so much better once it's out. Good luck
to you and I hope it's just a functional cyst.
