Right ovary does all the work?

I have just returned from having a failed cycle of IVF treatment. Cycle was cancelled as my right ovary failed to produce nothing but 2 little follicles around 8mm. My left produced 3 large 21mm+ follicles. I always thought that my right ovary was doing all the work as around ovulation it banged and clanged and pinched .....made all kinds of "noises" in there. I never felt anything from the left side. Dr did a lap last year and found a blocked left tube, some polyps and the left ovary stuck (?) to the bowel lining . Can I ask you to give an educated guess?

As the left had been stuck, is it possible the right did all the work for years and has run out of eggs?

Could the right have been hurting me as it was trying so hard to produce?

Might it help for my last try to suppress ovulation for a few months beforehand?

Is there any way to find out what my ovarian reserve is?

All blood tests were normal and I responded correctly to fertility drugs. I am 41, & menopause runs late in my family After this next cycle I will have to throw in the towel. Mentally it is just too hard. So, I want to give myself the best chance I can... thank you so much for your guidance, Karen
