Pacemakers and PGFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Nov 1998 00:39:22 -0800
Does anyone have any insight on whether or not it is advisable to seek Pg when one has a pacemaker in place. Here is the situation. I have neurocardiogenic syncope, Hx of V-tach, and multi focal Pvc's. I am looking at having cardiac ablation for Pvc's, and my cardiologist has recommended a pacemaker for my syncopal episodes because my heart rate has been known to drop to about 40. I can deal with passing out if it means I should not have a baby. And will get it after I have a baby. My Dr. says that due to the pooling of blood in the abd during Pg it should get better. Any insight please. Susan
