Lea-- thank you for your reply -- No, I have no fever or any chills or anything like that. I have a constant cough that doesnt want to leave -- and I have that major pain in my rib-- it feels like a tightness, a nerve stuck in a bad spot or something - BUT REALLY BAD PAIN -- I can't move in and out of bed easily -- and when I have my coughing spell, I have to brace myself and hold onto my rib area because it hurts. I have had to stop all activities because of this. Just so you get an idea -- if I have to put my car in reverse and drive with my head turned facing back to pull out of a spot -- the pain is so severe that I just want to get out of the car and not drive at all. The pain shoots right through me! And the prob. is I am coughing all the time. The x-rays did not show any signs of pneumonia. SO this is a bad case of a COLD that my son brought home from school and I got contaminated and with my asthma it amplified - cause I started taking some over the counter medications for about a week when finally I was just coughing my guts out 24 hours a day. It turned into what my doctor called Broncho-tracheal infection. So here I am with unbearable pain -- I have seen my son's pediatrician who also specializes in adult asthma and allergy (immunology) i think it is called. He is a very good doctor. And then he sent me to a pulmonary specialist. But my medications have done nothing for me. I have no clue what else to do. Is there any kind of muscle relaxer or nerve relaxer that you think might do some good to ease this nerve out of its wrong place. It is just stuck in my rib, and every time I cough it gets more and more irritated. I am miserable.

Thank you for your help. Connie
