Bad paps, and possible LEEPFrom: Kris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Nov 1998 19:51:50 -0600 (CST)
I am terrified now after reading everything on the LEEP proceedure. I am 48 and have not had a period in 1 yr. I had a bad paps, it said moderate dysplasia, and high SIL, so I had a biopsy, it was all negative, now the dr. wants to have me do laser surgery and biopsy. I was concerned about the whole thing so I left town for another dr. who will do leep. The problem is now, I'm afraid that I am doing the wrong thing. I should do nothing, because I am worried that they will end up giving me a hysterectomy in the end. I have had two normal births and one miscarrage that involved a DnC, and at 40 I had a termination. I never had a bad paps untill after termination, and into menopause. I can't help but think this has something to do with it. I am very paranoid that they just want another Hysterectomy. Am I being foolish for not trusting this proceedure? I really need help, before wed. the 25. Answers appreciated Kris PS I truely do not understand why I would have a bad paps after all these yrs. a one husband.
