I am not a doctor, but I have read a ton on natural family planning and fertility awareness and have paid a lot of attention to what my reproductive endocrinologist has told me. Here are two possibilities: 1. You are pregnant, and you ovulated later than you thought. But this is not so likely due to your significant drop in temperature. 2. You are not pregnant, and you ovulated later than usual. Yes, this would be unusual for you, but not impossible. Sometimes, you just ovulate later, for whatever reason. In that case, being "late" isn't really being late. I have a very irregular cycle, and I count whether I'm late from the day I ovulate, not from the first day of my last period. So, whenever I ovulate, whether it is day 14 or day 24, that's when I start my count to 18. If I haven't gotten my period by day 18, I'm pregnant. This test has never failed me: the only times I ever went 18 days after ovulation without geting my period, I was, in fact, pregnant. Best of luck.
