Re: update, BCP for me don't prevent cysts, what next?

Dr. Hill, thank you so much for your reply. My doctor has discussed giving me drugs that would shut off my ovaries. He has told me this would, in effect, put me in menopause. We both agreed that, at this time, the side effects would be too severe.

I agree that this cyst is way too small to cause this level of pain. My doctor has suggested that the scar tissue from the previous cyst removal could cause me to be more sensitive to pain in that area. The pain level is a reason he is not ruling out appendicitis. He did offer to send me to a general surgeon today, or admit me to the hospital for observation. We discussed the warning signs to watch for and I decided to go home.
