bladder discomfortFrom: joan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 5 Nov 1998 09:07:07 -0600 (CST)
I am a forty year old woman with intermittent bladder discomfort that mimics cystitis. I have frequency, fullness, and some burning. I have never had a bacterial infection of the bladder or a kidney infection. The urine comes back negative except for one or two red cells. I had two negative kidney ultrasounds, negative microcyte and negative bta test. The urologist says that amount of red cells in women are normal and not to be concerned. These symptoms have been going on for eight years and I started showing red cells (that I was told about, most doctors sign it off) for five years with no increase in cells or symptoms.I do notice that tub baths, soaps, relations with my husband, tight jeans, etc. bring on my symptoms. Any ideas why this is happening and what can I do to alleviate the discomfort when it appears.
