endometrial ablationFrom: Jo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 Oct 1998 15:28:15 -0600 (CST)
I have recently (Oct. 13) undergone a hysteroscopy, myomectomy (to remove a uterine polyp), and D & C to determine the cause of my DUB. I was put on progesterone post-operatively because I continued to bleed. Two days after finishing the proges. I began what I believed to be my period. However, 7 days later, I am still bleeding. It ranges from light to moderate. I have always had difficulties with my period (i.e. cramping and heavy bleeding) and would like at this time to have endometrial ablation, for which, after doing research on my own, I believe I am a perfect candidate. I am a registered nurse so I do have information available and the knowledge to understand it. My question is... How do I locate a doctor in my area who can perform this? I am willing to travel to NJ or PA for this procedure if necessary since it is an out-patient procedure. I live in upstate central NY.
