Would cysts cause me to bleed so often? McIntosh, MD: "Re: Hemabate postpartum?" I've been asking a few questions about pain I am having. Turns out I am forming hemmeragic (sp) cysts, and those are bursting, which is what hurts. (This is what my ob/gyn said yesterday.) Anyway, I have always had 28-31 day cycles, though many times with brown spotting continuing after my period until ovulation. However, since I had this last spell of severe pain (Sept 25), my sides have continued to hurt, and I got my period early on Oct. 18. Well, I had some more pain yesterday (Oct. 28), which my doc said was probably the cyst they saw on my right side bursting, and I started again (lighter, as to be expected, but still red blood). Is this common? Is it allright just to treat the symptoms (Alltran for pain)? My doctor said this alone shouldn't affect my fertility.
