Painful periods all my lifeFrom: Annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Oct 1998 12:17:17 -0600 (CST)
Since my very first period I have experiences excruciating pain. I am currently 41 years old. The pain now puts me out of action for two days every month. I've had a D&C, ultrasound, and have done two different sessions of horemone therapy. The test results show not signs of pallops, fibroids, or external endometriosis. Everything looks healthy. The explanation thus far is that my body produces too much estrogen, and this is the cause of my pain. I've discussed surgery, and have ruled out a total hysterectomy because I didn't do well with horemone therapy. So if my body produces too much estrogen, then what good would a partial hysterectomy do? Will I still experience the same pain I currently go through every month? Can you answer my question? I didn't get much of an answer from my GYN who is now retired. Thanks for listening.
