I would agree that the statement regarding the asbestos is incorrect. But the part about dioxin in tampons IS correct! Also, the information that dioxin is linked to endometriosis is also correct. Martin, Paul Dmowski, et al., regarding Endometriosis in Rhesus Monkeys following exposure to 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin? Or the study by Audrey M. Cummings, Joan L. Metcalf, and Linda Birnbaum, regarding Promotion of Endometriosis by dioxin in Rats & Mice? Are you also saying that Dr. Philip Tierno Jr. chief of clinical microbiology and immunology at the New York University Medical Center is full of horse manure?! Dioxin in Tampons is a VERY valid concern for women. And we are not IDIOTS for voicing our concerns about this matter. There are flaws in the message that is circulating regarding the dangers with tampons. But the heart of the message is correct. Dioxin is in tampons, and dioxin is linked to endometriosis & cancer.
