severe cramps at the end of menstrual cycleFrom: Denise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Oct 1998 18:54:49 -0600 (CST)
Hello. I am 31 yrs old and was diagnosed with endo in 7/98 during a laparotomy to remove ovarian cysts which had ruptured. The endo was diagnosed as "severe". I am not on any medication or the pill, as I am trying to get pregnant after being "cleaned out". My question is, before the surgery, I had severe cramps which have worsened since I had my daughter (she is almost 5). In the 12 - 15 months prior to the surgery, I was having severe cramps / bloating at the END of my cycle. It would start on the day the bleeding stopped (or at least when it lightened up). Also, my periods only lasted about 2 days. I had 2 "pain free" cycles (periods) after the laparotomy (at least they were in my opinion, I was able to get through the cramps with only 2 or 3 Aleve, rather than 16 - 20). Now, the pain is back. I am also bleeding for 4-5 days now. I am seeing my DR next week to discuss this, but I am scared - does this sound like the endo is back, or could it be something else going on? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank You.
