how common is peritubular adhesions?From: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Oct 1998 17:17:02 -0600 (CST)
I had a hard 9 hour labor and delivery (induction with Pitocin) 3 years ago. We have been trying for a 2nd child for 1 year now. All prelim tests for infertility have come back normal. My dr wants to do a lap to rule out endometriosis and peritubular adhesions. How common is this? I don't know whether I should have a 2nd opinion or not. I have no pelvic pain, no pain with menses, but cycles last 23-25 days with an 11 day LP. Can laparoscopic surgery cause adhesions?
